Accounts Payable (AP) Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Manager to oversee our AP operations and ensure timely, accurate payment processing. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing AP teams, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day AP operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor communications
- Supervise and mentor AP staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies
- Review, approve, process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
- Reconcile AP sub-ledger accounts and assist with month-end close
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of AP metrics and cash requirements
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and resolve payment inquiries or issues
- Enforce compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement AP best practices
- Collaborate with accounting, procurement, and finance teams on cross-functional initiatives
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of AP experience , including supervisory/management experience
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite required (or similar ERP)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and AP accounting processes
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing organizations
- Experience implementing process improvements or AP automation
