Home-Based Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Monday–Friday | $19/HR

Location: Sharon, PA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Abound Health is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to a friendly male individual diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys meaningful work, prefers consistent daytime hours, and is comfortable providing high-level personal care.

About the Individual
The client is a happy, easy-going adult male who functions at a toddler–5-year-old developmental level and requires constant supervision. He communicates using an assistive device and enjoys toy trucks, cars, and music. He is fully incontinent and requires full assistance with personal care but is actively working on learning basic skills. There are no pets in the home and no behavioral support needs.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide constant supervision and ensure safety
• Assist with all personal care needs, including toileting, bathing, and hygiene
• Support communication using his assistive device
• Engage in preferred activities (trucks, cars, music)
• Encourage skill development and independence
• Maintain documentation as required
• Provide companionship and supportive interaction
• Work independently in a home-based setting

What We’re Looking For

• A patient, reliable, and compassionate caregiver
• Comfortable providing high-level personal care
• Ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks
• Physically able to assist with lifting or transfers if needed

Compensation

• $19.00 per hour
• Weekly pay
• Paid onboarding and training
• Opportunities for additional hours with other clients if desired

Schedule
Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Consistent daytime hours with no weekends required.

Experience

• 1 year of caregiving experience preferred
• Experience with personal care or I/DD support helpful but not required—paid training provided
