Human Resources Manager

SGL Carbon’s St Marys plant is a part of the Business Unit Graphite Solutions and employs around 290 employees, of which 150 are a unionized workforce. Our facility focuses on a variety of specialty tailor-made solutions in response to our customers’ challenges. We are searching for an experienced Human Resources Manager for our manufacturing plant in St Marys, PA. The HR Manager will provide Human Resources leadership for 2 plans and collaborate closely with senior plant management as well as global and regional HR partners to support group and/or BU objectives. The HR Manager carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, benefits, staffing, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment and selection, HR compliance including local, state and federal employment law compliance. This position requires substantial knowledge regarding employment laws and regulations, grievance resolution, collective bargaining, excellent judgment, ethical practice, consistency and proper handling of confidential informatio
n.
