CNC Production Machining Operator
Step into precision—own your shift as a CNC Production Machining Operator
Picture your day: you arrive to a clean, organized cell, review today’s print and in‑process checkpoints, and bring one or two NC/CNC machines online. You load tools, verify offsets, and start the first run. Throughout the day, you inspect parts to engineering drawings and visual standards, make smart tool changes, and keep production moving safely and efficiently. Before you clock out, you complete accurate time and labor entries and leave your station spotless for the next run.
What you will do
- Operate one or two NC/CNC machines to meet scheduled output.
- Change and set tooling as required to maintain quality and throughput.
- Inspect parts to specified tolerances per in‑process inspection, engineering drawings, and visual requirements; finish parts to the required quality standard.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance to keep machines in peak condition.
- Accurately record daily time and labor.
- Work safely and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
- Complete minor assembly tasks as needed.
- Hit acceptable production levels consistently.
- Report equipment or material issues promptly.
- Document defects and nonconformances correctly.
What you bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfort with basic math and reading for prints and work instructions.
- Ability to stand for about 10 hours per day.
- Ability to lift at least 85 lbs. approximately 5–10 times per hour.
