Jr Business Development Specialist

Tower Marketing is seeking a talented, self-driven, and high-energy individual to serve as a Junior Business Development Specialist. The right candidate will have a “hunter” mentality, being responsible for navigating complex company organization structures, identifying and contacting decision-makers, and creating proposals based on the services the agency offers. This role will be a key support to the Business Development team and adjoining departments.

TOP SKILLS FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE
- Basic knowledge of internet marketing & development projects (e.g. client goals vs. team implementations to meet those goals)
- Research, verify, and add to already existing cold lead directory
- Create strategies for growing professional network on LinkedIn and other online networks
- Initiate contact with new, potential prospects, growing a network for future leads
- Assist in creating detailed proposals, reviewing with Business Development team for accuracy
- Attend online webinars and / or in-person events and mixers to create new business opportunities
- Assist with the setup and presentation of online webinars and / or in-person events
- Collaborate with Accounts and BD team to come up with strategies for current client renewal and project opportunities
- Ability to brainstorm, collaborate, and strategize with in-house creative team members, including designers, developers, and internet marketing
- Assist in updating the agencies CRM system, providing detailed updates to BD and Management teams
- Periodically reviews and updates internal estimation templates and pricing
- Collaborates with Ops team to update vendor billing / billable costs for estimating
- Create weekly summary of current business development efforts and forecasted new prospect opportunities
- Monitors results of all progress billing clients, and updates proposal strategies to accommodate new project patterns
- Promote Tower Marketing's core values across the agency and conduct oneself in perfect alignment with those values
REQUIRED SOFTWARE SKILLS
- Familiarity with project management tools, such as ActiveCollab, Mavenlink, etc.
- Basic understanding of CRM systems, such as ActiveCampaign
- Proficient with Google Suite or the Apple Equivalent
TOP SOFT SKILLS
- Strong interpersonal skills to form instant rapport with a broad variety of people types
- Has a strategic mindset and understands what clients want and how to deliver it within the boundaries of a client's budget, brand, and timeline
- Possesses an inquisitive and open mind in order to consider and weigh each client's requirements with the agency's ability and resources available
- Able to make recommendations, big and small, on ways to help clients reach their goals
TOP BONUS SKILLS WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE
- Experience with the Mac platform and familiarity with Mac devices: iMac, MacBook Pro, iPad, iPhone, and Google Drive / Docs
- Proven sales experience
- Familiarity with Screaming Frog program or similar platform
- Experience with sitemap creation and understanding of basic website acumen
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing or related field
- 1 - 2 years experience in a digital marketing agency: website development, internet marketing
