Teleradiologist
Position Summary
A healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Diagnostic Radiologist to provide remote interpretation of medical imaging studies across multiple clinical settings. This role focuses on delivering timely, accurate diagnostic reports, maintaining high-quality standards, and collaborating with referring providers to support optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies remotely, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine (as credentialed)
- Generate accurate, timely, and clinically relevant radiology reports
- Communicate critical and urgent findings in accordance with established protocols
- Provide consultative support to referring physicians and clinical teams
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance, patient safety, and regulatory standards
- Participate in peer review and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize PACS, RIS, and voice recognition systems for image interpretation and reporting
- Meet turnaround time expectations and assigned coverage schedules
- Support appropriate imaging utilization and evidence-based practice standards
Practice Setting
- Fully remote or hybrid teleradiology environment
- Coverage may include hospitals, emergency departments, and outpatient imaging centers
- Flexible scheduling options, including day, evening, overnight, or weekend shifts depending on organizational needs
Patient Population
- Pediatric and adult patients
- Broad range of diagnostic imaging needs across inpatient and outpatient care settings
Work Environment
- Remote, technology-enabled clinical setting within a collaborative care model
- Emphasis on reliability, diagnostic excellence, and quality outcomes
Requirements
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Eligible for medical licensure in applicable states
- Fellowship training in a radiology subspecialty preferred but not required
Skills & Competencies
- Strong diagnostic accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency across multiple imaging modalities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Familiarity with teleradiology workflows and technology platforms
- Commitment to quality, efficiency, and turnaround time standards
