Director of Human Resources and Comptroller
Location: On-site | Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Status: Full-Time | Salary: $100,000+ (Based on experience)
About the Role

We’re seeking a forward-thinking Director of Human Resources and Comptroller to guide our agency’s most essential functions: Human Resources and Financial Management. This is more than a dual-role position—it’s a mission-critical leadership opportunity to influence culture, compliance, and fiscal excellence across the organization.
What You’ll Do
Human Resources Leadership – Empower Our People
Champion employee relations, contract negotiations, and labor law compliance.
Lead investigations, manage grievances, and represent the agency in hearings.
Oversee complex leave administration and benefits coordination.
Manage workers' compensation, unemployment, and disability claims.
Serve as a trusted liaison between staff, providers, and insurers.
Ensure accurate payroll and smooth integration with HR systems.
Partner with legal and union stakeholders to support ethical and lawful practices.
Comptroller Duties – Elevate Financial Integrity
Monitor housing voucher payments for contract compliance.
Conduct internal audits and ensure general ledger accuracy.
Lead the preparation and response to external audits.
Oversee tax reporting and year-end filings (including W-2s).
Manage agency insurance portfolios and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Support strategic planning with cost analyses and budget recommendations.
Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Public Administration, or related field.
(CPA or MBA strongly preferred)At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in both HR and finance.
(Public housing or nonprofit experience is a plus!)Command of labor laws, benefit plans, auditing standards, and payroll systems.
Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive matters.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills—you work seamlessly across all levels of an organization.
