What You’ll Do:
- Performs regular touch up painting throughout the property.
- Prepares, patches, repairs and paints all wall surfaces, ceilings, trim, and doors as required
- Completes drywall construction/repair work in a timely manner
- Performs rough and finish carpentry, such as repairing furniture, placement backing for support, working with wood and steel framing.
- Perform or assist in testing of safety and operating systems in buildings and Patio Homes
- Maintains inventory of paint and painting supplies. Tracks colors and finishes used in each area of the building.
- Paints and refinishes equipment and the interior and exterior of the facility.
- Performs preventive maintenance and other repairs as required.
- Snow removal at walkways and patio home driveways and their sidewalks.
- Attends in-services, training, and department meetings as required by the Maintenance Supervisor or Director of Environmental Services.
Qualifications You Bring:
- High school diploma, or GED basic knowledge of building construction, a Minimum of two years’ painting/drywall repair or related experience and or training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine maintenance reports and records, work orders, etc.
- Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization, and external customers such as service company employees.
- Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- The ability to use power tools, ladders, hand tools and lifts.
