Helicopter Avionics Technician (Part 145 Repair Station)

Negotiable pay rate based on hands on avionics experience.

Job Description

As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing basic avionics and electrical systems . You will assist with more complex installation tasks and disassemble and reassemble aircraft interiors as needed to facilitate avionics installations or repairs. Additionally, you will complete light sheet metal fabrications , wiring harness fabrications , and installations , antenna and coax installations , as well as OHM and power checks .

Responsibilities

• Install basic avionics and electrical systems; assist with complex setups
• Disassemble/reassemble interiors for avionics work
• Perform light sheet metal fabrication
• Support wiring harness mock-ups; fabricate and install harnesses
• Install antennas and coax cables
• Conduct OHM, power, and ground checks
• Terminate wires as needed

Essential Skills

• Avionics systems installation and troubleshooting (helicopter focus)
• Standard aircraft wiring and light sheet metal fabrication
• Blueprint and wiring diagram interpretation
• Electrical component knowledge and soldering proficiency

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must have 5 years of experience with avionics.
• Must have own tools.
• Ability to work overtime.

Work Environment

Work in a large hangar environment with a team of 45 employees. The role involves working on Bell helicopters and Airbus aircraft , ensuring a dynamic and varied work experience. Five 8 hour days 8am-4:30pm, and after 90 days ability to do four 10 hour days 6:30am-5pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $37.00/hr.
