Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Location: Ephrata, Pennsylvania 17522 (Lancaster County)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital – General Respiratory Therapy Unit
• Assignment Type: Locum tenens, Travel Respiratory Therapist Contract
• Start Date: September 22, 2025
• End Date: December 22, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 – 19:30), weekend rotation
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,720 - $1,770
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Charting System: EPIC (experience required)
• First-time travel healthcare professionals welcome!

Respiratory Therapist Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Active RRT and CRT credentials
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to work weekends as part of a rotation
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
• Must be able to care for COVID patients as needed

Registered Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages in a hospital setting
• Perform airway management, including nasal/oropharyngeal suctioning, tracheostomy care, and ventilator management
• Utilize advanced respiratory therapy modalities: BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, T-piece, Trach collar, and more
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures
• Collect sputum specimens and conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments
• Troubleshoot and respond to high-pressure alarms and mechanical ventilation issues
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC
