Payroll Specialist
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Philadelphia, PA. Duties:
- Process biweekly, semi-monthly, and/or weekly payroll using UKG Pro
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, deductions, and benefits
- Audit payroll data for accuracy and compliance prior to final submission
- Maintain employee payroll records, tax documentation, and direct deposit information
- Process garnishments, levies, child support orders, and other wage attachments
- Reconcile payroll reports and general ledger entries
- Prepare and submit federal, state, and local payroll tax filings
- Coordinate year-end processes including W-2 preparation and distribution
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related inquiries and issue resolution
- Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data integration
- Assist with payroll audits and ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and company policies
- Train and mentor junior payroll staff as needed
- Recommend process improvements and system enhancements within UKG
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with UKG Pro (required)
- Experience processing multi-state payroll
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred).
