Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will utilize a forklift—primarily standing, with some sitting involved—to move materials for various purposes, such as loading trailers and flatbeds, transferring materials to and from the production area, and managing inventory. You will use a high-reach truck to access materials from elevated shelves and employ RF scanners and tracking systems for accuracy. You will work from manufacturing information, material lists, and both written and oral instructions. Additionally, you will prepare completed equipment, accessories, and service parts for shipment, ensuring they are properly loaded. Your responsibilities will include loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed, as well as checking the quality of materials and workmanship to verify conformance to standards. You will be responsible for the quality of finished work and maintain required records and documents.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a forklift and high-reach truck to move materials for loading, production, and inventory purposes.
• Operate RF scanners and tracking systems for precise material handling.
• Follow manufacturing information, material lists, and instructions for accuracy in operations.
• Prepare equipment, accessories, and parts for shipment, ensuring proper loading.
• Load, unload, and move materials as required.
• Check material quality and workmanship to meet standards.
• Maintain accurate records and documents.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating forklifts and high-reach trucks.
• Experience in material handling and inventory management.
• Ability to use RF scanners or similar equipment.
• Capability to lift over 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with both forklifts and high-reach trucks is preferred.
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving is an advantage.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr.
