Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Construction Superintendent to manage and supervise all phases of construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site.
Manage and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and workers.
Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution.
Maintain daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite.
Ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to keep all parties informed of project progress and issues.
Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and blueprints.
Ensure that all necessary permits and inspections are in place and assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
Coordinate required inspections.
Maintain accurate records of daily activities, work performed, and materials used.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process.
Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a minimum of 10 years in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, safety standards, and quality control.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and contracts.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in the construction management software Procore and Microsoft Office Suite.
Communications: Must be able to communicate effectively via call/text/email.
OSHA certification and other relevant construction certifications are a plus.
Must have a Valid Drivers License with a clean driving history.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
Ability to visit and walk entire job site daily; numerous times per day.
Ability to work in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, and move on a construction site for extended periods of time.
Schedule:
This job is mostly Monday to Friday; on rare occasions, weekends may be necessary.
