About the Position

Registered Nurse Supervisor

Position: Registered Nurse Supervisor
Shift: 2nd shift, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Location: Selinsgrove, PA
Schedule: Every other weekend

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years as a Registered Nurse or 4 years of professional nursing experience providing care for individuals with mental, physical, or developmental disabilities.
• Current RN license or temporary practice permit issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
• Knowledge of health care services designed to improve the ability of individuals to perform daily living activities.
• Strong reading, writing, and oral communication skills.

Role Description

• Communicate and collaborate with nursing leadership and supervisors to ensure continuity of care.
• Serve as a resource to nursing staff, administration, interdisciplinary teams, and support services.
• Provide direct clinical supervision, leadership, and oversight of consumer care in multiple care areas.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic environment for consumers and staff.
• Participate in staff development programs and provide orientation, ongoing education, and on-the-job training.
• Apply hospital and nursing policies and procedures; participate in Quality PI and facility committees.
• Utilize therapeutic communication and maintain professional interactions with consumers and staff.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, complete employee evaluations, and conduct competency assessments.
• Advocate for consumers and administer prescribed medications/treatments as necessary.
• Transcribe physician orders and perform other related duties as required.
