District Manager- Philadelphia
Job Description:

Today, our portfolio features some of North America’s most revered wineries, including Decoy, Paraduxx, Goldeneye, Migration, Canvasback, Calera, Kosta Browne, Greenwing, Postmark, and Sonoma-Cutrer.
The District Sales Manager is responsible for managing all on-premise and off-premise activities and programming within their designated territory through distributors to ensure maximum market penetration, brand awareness, and sell-through. This role leads execution of the company’s core and premium portfolio across a broad account base. Responsible for expanding distribution through development of a broader account base and increasing sales within the distributor network. Location: Philly, PA. What we will ask you to do:• Maintains and enhances share of mind within the distributor network; collaborates with distributor representatives to execute sales plans/goals that are mutually beneficial.
• Establishes Utilizes target account lists for all brands/wines by channel and, in collaboration with their Manager, establishes timeline of account calls and distributor engagement.
• Identifies and supports key accounts within the core and premium portfolio, while deferring primary ownership of luxury on-premise “lighthouse” accounts and fine wine relationships to specialist roles.
• Utilizes product and business knowledge to educate distributor representatives and accounts to increase product turn.
• Represents The Duckhorn Portfolio at consumer and trade events as and coordinates participation in luxury and fine wine events with appropriate specialist roles to ensure consistent brand positioning.
• Assists in monitoring distributor inventory and collaborates with specialist roles on inventory visibility and appropriate handling of allocated and limited-production wines.
• Makes recommendations to direct manager for pricing and programming to meet annual budget that increases sales in assigned area through market specific programs, ensuring programming aligns with brand hierarchy, protecting luxury and fine wine positioning.
• Maintains clear account ownership, segmentation, and call reporting to support cross-functional collaboration and operates within assigned budgetary parameters.
• Helps to achieve 100% compliance for national accounts programming through initial roll out and follow up. What you will need:
• BA in Business or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of sales experience in wine industry with a luxury brand preferred.
• Experience working with distributor networks and managing broad market execution required preferred.
• Exposure to on-premise sales and understanding of luxury/fine wine segmentation preferred.
• Foundational understanding of fine wine required.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a matrixed sales organization with specialized roles.
• Proficient skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
• Knowledge of Diver or Dynamics 365 iDig or VIP Karma a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 50-60% of time, within the designated market visiting accounts, distributors, customers, and hosting events day and night.
• Must possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state car registration, insurance, and a clean driving record. What we will provide:
