Payroll and HR Generalist

Payroll and HR Generalist Key Requirements:

• At least 2 years of HR experience required
• At least 2 years of payroll processing experience required
• Strong understanding of payroll rules, processes, and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of HR laws, employment regulations, and best practices
• Experience supporting employee relations, onboarding, interviewing, benefits, and general HR administration
• Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs, or willingness to learn
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service mindset
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills

Payroll and HR Generalist Main Responsibilities:

• Manage bi-weekly payroll processing for over 200 employees across multiple locations
• Validate payroll data, process timecards, and ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support employee relations by assisting with employee questions, concerns, documentation, and follow-up
• Assist with interviewing, candidate communication, interview coordination, and hiring support
• Support onboarding, employee orientation, new hire paperwork, and ongoing HR support
• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, policies, procedures, and HR programs
• Assist with benefits administration, including insurance enrollments, changes, and related HR documentation
• Maintain employee records and help ensure compliance with internal policies and employment requirements
• Support HR projects, employee engagement initiatives, and process improvement efforts
• Collaborate with HR team members, management, and employees to ensure smooth payroll and HR operations
