Accounting Coordinator (Payables Focused)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Coordinator (Payables Focused) to join our growing accounting team. Reporting to the Manager of Accounting, you’ll play a key role in managing vendor bills, payroll, and month-end processes across multiple entities. What You’ll Do:

• Enter and process vendor bills in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage Accounts Payable for multiple entities, including reviewing vendor statements and applying credits/payments.
• Collect, organize, and reconcile credit card receipts; prepare monthly statements.
• Handle payroll processing for two entities from start to finish.
• Support month-end close and provide financial updates to management.
• Record rent payments and invoice tenants for utilities; coordinate with property managers.
• Assist with general office tasks (phones, filing, scheduling, shredding).
• Support the accounting team by cross-training in accounts receivable and other accounting tasks.
• Prepare monthly IFTA spreadsheets and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a Team environment, with a strong emphasis on being a Team player.
• All other duties as assigned.
