Human Resources Specialist
- Serve as the on-site HR resource for employees and leadership
- Support recruitment efforts including onboarding, orientation, and new hire paperwork
- Maintain personnel files and ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and company regulations
- Assist with employee relations matters, including coaching, documentation, and investigations
- Administer benefits, leaves of absence, and employee status changes
- Track and support performance management processes
- Partner with leadership to foster employee engagement and a strong workplace culture
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and healthcare regulations
- Assist with audits, reports, and HR projects as needed
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources (healthcare or long-term care strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of HR compliance, employee relations, and onboarding processes
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Excellent communication skills—approachable, clear, and confident
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
