Salary: $1,300 per week + performance‐based bonuses
Hours: 45–55 hours per week
Cuisine: Asian‐Fusion Bar Food
Environment: Fast‐paced, high‐volume brunches & busy weekends
Requirement: Must hold a valid ServSafe Certification

Set NoLibs is a high‐energy restaurant and bar in Northern Liberties known for our Asian‐fusion bar food, packed brunches, and heavy weekend traffic. We’re looking for a skilled, motivated Sous Chef/Chef who can lead the kitchen with confidence, consistency, and professionalism.

Position Overview

The Sous Chef/Chef will oversee daily BOH operations, maintain food quality and consistency, support menu execution, and help manage a fast‐paced kitchen environment. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive during high‐volume service.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support BOH staff during service, especially brunch and weekend rushes
• Ensure all dishes meet Set NoLibs’ quality, flavor, and presentation standards
• Oversee prep, line operations, and daily kitchen organization
• Maintain inventory, assist with ordering, and minimize waste
• Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe required)
• Train, coach, and support kitchen staff
• Collaborate with management on specials, menu development, and operational improvements
• Ensure a clean, efficient, and safe kitchen environment at all times

Requirements

• ServSafe Certification (required)
• Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Lead Cook in a fast‐paced kitchen
• Ability to work 45–55 hours per week, including weekends and brunch shifts
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to handle high‐volume service with consistency and composure
• Reliable, punctual, and team‐oriented
