Job Details:

• Work either 4 ten-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) or 3 twelve-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• 1-2 call shifts per week (Monday-Thursday) starting after your shift until 7:00 AM the next morning
• 30-minute callback response time required
• 2 weekend call shifts every 6 weeks starting at end of shift Friday until 7:00 AM Monday
• No scheduled weekend shifts (call only)
• Holiday coverage on call basis per department need
• No guaranteed block scheduling
• Neuro, trauma, ortho and robotics experience REQUIRED
• Neurosurgery experience mandatory - must function independently
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers not accepted
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC experience heavily preferred
• Pennsylvania nursing license required with no license hits accepted
• Patient ratio 1:1 for all shifts
• Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Tobacco and fragrance free facility
• Maximum 7 days RTO per contract
• Pre-start modules required (5-6 hours to complete)

This healthcare organization operates an 18-room operating suite within a 593-bed hospital facility serving a daily census of 50-60 patients. The facility specializes in complex neurosurgical procedures and maintains comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The organization emphasizes high-quality patient care across all age groups and maintains strict clinical standards for their surgical services.
