Note: The hourly rate for this position is $28 - $32 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Measuring, cutting, and bending wire and conduit using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Performing duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment
- Following state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment including wiring, transformers, switchgear, motors, and other electrical components.
- Bend and install various types of conduit, including EMT, Rigid, and PVC.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems and recommend solutions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical diagrams.
- Install electrical systems according to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to ensure they are following safety regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with other trades and contractors on construction sites to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of experience on commercial construction sites In-depth knowledge of building codes and laws in your area
- Perform tests and use the results to diagnose problems
- Have all of the tools of your trade on hand and be able to bring them to your jobsite
- References that will verify your professional skills and experience
