Inside Technical Support and Sales Representative
:
As the Inside Technical Sales Representative, you will support the profitable sales growth for PPG's Industrial Coatings business onsite at our Springdale, PA R&D facility. You will promote a single sourcing strategy for PPG's Industrial Coatings business by learning and leveraging knowledge in multiple paint/coatings technologies. The primary technologies for proficiency will be liquid, powder, and field applied coatings.
PPG provides full-time sales support for the USCA Architects, AC/PMC Specification Representatives, and PPG Certified Applicators , along with maintaining an inside sales territory with approximately 40 accounts.

Responsibilities:
- Initiate daily phone sales, follow up with architects, base accounts, and/or prospective customers.
- Maintain current base of accounts/projects through appropriate follow-up call and prospecting activities.
- Secure new projects in existing accounts while building your pipeline of opportunities.
- Submit pipeline status reports on sales activities versus plan.
- Team-sell with IC/AC/PMC Field Sales Reps.
- Management of an Inside Sales territory with an average size of $2-3MM.
- Panel request entry and follow up.
- Lead the Account Management for business retention
- Additional elements include:
- Utilizing your expertise to understand the competitive situation.
- Follow the market/technical situation.
- Initiating follow-through actions and respond timely to customer inquiries.
- Use Microsoft CRM to manage accounts, contacts, leads, and build your pipeline.

Qualifications- BA/BS business, marketing, a technical degree OR equivalent combination of experience, training, skills, and industry knowledge.
- B2B phone sales experience is required; experience in commercial / industrial sales or ecommerce is preferred.
- Painting/Coating experience is preferred
- Self-motivated, confident, and a high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and organized to manage complexity
- Thorough knowledge of telephone sales/marketing methods
- Ability to excel in a team environment
- Proficiency in windows-based computer software including Word, Excel, OutLook, PowerPoint, spreadsheets. Experience with a CRM system is preferred.
- Basic accounting knowledge or strong math skills and ability to work from spreadsheets and customer database.
