Senior CAD Technician – Water/Wastewater Engineering
A well-established engineering firm is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to support a growing Water/Wastewater team. This is a full-time opportunity working on a diverse mix of infrastructure projects including utility pipelines, pump stations, and treatment facilities, along with municipal public works initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop detailed CAD drawings for water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater pipeline projects
- Produce full drawing packages including plans, profiles, sections, and details
- Build and manipulate surface models for site and linear design
- Draft mechanical piping layouts for pump stations and treatment facilities
- Coordinate with engineering staff to maintain project schedules and resolve design issues
- Assist in troubleshooting CAD-related challenges and improving internal workflows
What You Bring:
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- 5+ years of experience with utility and pipeline design drafting
- Experience creating alignments, profiles, and surfaces
- Familiarity with national CAD standards and best practices
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AutoCAD Pipes or Autoline
- Exposure to survey data integration
- Background in mechanical piping or structural drafting
