Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Service Advisor/Writer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the automotive industry. We are looking for an individual who is seeking a long-term career, not just a job. Primary responsibilities include inventory management and parts processing, along with customer service duties such as advising customers and presenting recommended services. This position is expected to become full-time within 6–12 months as our business continues to grow. Primary location will be in Port Matilda.

Responsibilities:

Primary Focus: Inventory management, parts return tracking, data entry, and organization of paperwork. In addition to future duties:

• Greet customers in person and over the phone, providing a professional and friendly experience.
• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
• Prepare repair orders and estimates.
• Clearly communicate recommended services and repairs.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
• Keep customers updated on repair status.
• Handle phone calls, scheduling, and follow-ups.
• Maintain organized and accurate records.
• Travel between our two locations (Mill Hall and Port Matilda) as needed.
• Take on additional responsibilities as training and experience expand.

Qualifications:

• Previous automotive service advisor or related experience preferred.
• Strong sales, customer service, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of auto parts and basic automotive repair.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer proficiency (experience with shop management software is a plus).
• Professional attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
