We are seeking a Geriatric Nurse to join our team! As a Geriatric Nurse, you will spend your time caring for our aging patients, administering medication, and following care orders laid out by their doctors. You will also work closely with our PCA's offering support and guidance, make rounds, and be a supportive, helpful presence to our residents. The ideal candidate has experience working with an older population, has all the required licensing in the state, and works well independently as well as within a team environment. Responsibilities
- Make rounds to check on each patient assigned, assessing current well-being and making notes on issues as needed
- Administer prescribed medications as directed
- Assisting other nurses or personal care aids as needed to keep the shift moving and provide excellent care
- Being a positive, supportive presence to our aging residents
- Active, valid nursing license within the state
- Experience working with an aging population desired
- Comfortability working independently and within a team
- The ability to multitask and work well under pressure
