Residential Aide

Role: Residential Aide

Location: Downingtown, PA

Pay Rate: $18.50/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Residential Aides to support individuals with developmental disabilities (DD) and/or mental health conditions in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on assistance, promote independence, and ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and behavioral support as needed
• Monitor and document residents’ behavior, progress, and any changes in condition
• Support residents in following individualized care and behavioral plans
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized living environment
• Assist with medication reminders (as permitted by role and training)
• Accompany residents to appointments or community outings
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and team members to ensure quality care

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or
• mental health conditions required Experience as Direct Support Professional (DSP), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home
• Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Aide (PCA), or Caregiver
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and professional in challenging situations
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred Requirements:

• Relevant certification (DSP, CNA, HHA, PCA) is a plus but not required
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• High school diploma or equivalent
