Job Summary

W e are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our laboratory team on an overnight schedule. This role is responsible for performing complex laboratory testing with a strong focus in chemistry and hematology, ensuring accurate and timely results to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

Job Description

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing in chemistry and hematology
• Analyze specimens and ensure accuracy, validity, and timeliness of test results
  
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment
  
• Follow quality control and quality assurance protocols
  
• Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, regulatory standards, and safety guidelines
  
• Accurately document test results and maintain detailed records
  
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and testing discrepancies
  
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

Skills Required

• Valid license to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (092) issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED)
• Primary Source Verification required
  
• Minimum of one (1) year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience
  
• Strong background in both chemistry and hematology
  
• Preferred: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  
• High attention to detail and accuracy
  
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
  
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory compliance standards
  
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Education

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Laboratory Technology program
• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

Additional Requirements

• Schedule Notes: 12:00 AM-8:00 AM

Pay Rate

• $50-$59 per hour, based on experience, skills and market factors
