Angels' Place, Inc. is nonprofit comprehensive family support program that provides no-pay child care and related services to single, low-income, full-time student parents and reduced-pay child care to working parents who qualify.
Lead and shape the future of our Family Support Program as the Director, focusing on impactful interventions for early childhood and at-risk family populations. This demanding role requires proven skills in clinical leadership, strategic collaboration, and broad community outreach to secure comprehensive support and achieve measurable, positive outcomes for the families we serve.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide individual therapeutic support and counseling to parents.
- Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately and timely
- Connect families with essential community resources and social services.
- Facilitate weekly parent education meetings and workshops.
- Collaborate with the Education Director and teachers to establish family and child goals.
- Coordinate services for enrolled children with external community agencies.
- Develop and strengthen community partnerships for client and staff recruitment.
- Build and maintain organizational partnerships to elevate the organization’s presence.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and forums.
- Promote a positive, supportive, and collaborative team environment.
- Implement staff development and special projects focused on social-emotional health and trauma-informed practice.
- Coach staff in child development, reflective practice, and solution-oriented interactions.
- Ensure strict adherence to all agency policies, procedures, and child care licensing regulations.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, or a related clinical field.
- Two or more years of experience working directly with at-risk families.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice.
- Expertise in family systems, mental health issues, trauma-informed practice, and community resources.
- Excellent individual counseling and therapeutic skills for emotional and behavioral support.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for team building and collaboration.
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a positive, mission-driven team player who supports the organization’s values.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to an automobile is required.
- Must be available to travel between sites, community outreach locations, schools, and meetings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for program facilitation.
- Obtain and maintain current Pennsylvania (PA) State Police, Child Abuse, NSOR and FBI clearances (along with out-of-state clearances if applicable).
- Must provide a completed Health Assessment and current Tuberculosis (TB) test result.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $45,000 - $55,000
- Free child care for one child (ages 0-5) during working hours.
