The Senior Manager, Cybersecurity is responsible for driving Novocure’s global Cybersecurity program in support of our mission to extend survival in some of the most aggressive forms of cancer. In this role, you will design, coordinate, and execute all security activities related to ensuring our medical products remain protected from vulnerabilities and threats.
Partnering closely with Quality, Regulatory, R&D, and Product Development teams, you will lead secure product development initiatives and regulatory cybersecurity compliance efforts across our global organization. This position is based in Portsmouth, NH or Wayne, PA, with occasional travel required.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As Senior Manager, Cybersecurity, you will lead and strengthen Novocure’s medical product cybersecurity program across the full product lifecycle.
- Lead the execution of Novocure’s medical product cybersecurity program, including the development of secure practices across product environments
- Coordinate cybersecurity activities and ensure alignment between corporate IT security and product security functions
- Develop and maintain the design and implementation of Secure Product Development Framework (SPDF) practices for medical devices and digital health products
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Quality to integrate security-by-design and secure-in-depth principles into connected medical device platforms
- Develop and maintain medical product cybersecurity documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FDA premarket and postmarket guidance, ISO 13485, IEC 81001-5-1, IEC 62304/82304, ISO 27001, NIST frameworks, and EU MDR
- Drive continuous improvement in security awareness, training, and cybersecurity culture across the organization
- Track and report cybersecurity key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk metrics to senior stakeholders
- Engage with external partners, auditors, and regulators to support cybersecurity reviews and compliance activities
ABOUT YOU
Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 7–10 years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or program management capacity
- Demonstrated experience working in regulated environments, ideally within the medical device, healthcare technology, or pharmaceutical sectors
- Strong understanding of FDA cybersecurity guidance, NIST CSF, IEC 62304/82304, ISO 13485, and related standards
- Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle security, secure application development practices, and secure architecture, design, and testing (e.g., SAST, DAST)
- Experience with threat modeling, attack surface reduction, vulnerability tracking, risk assessment, and defining mitigations
These additional qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working cross-functionally with Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, and Product Development teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex cybersecurity topics into actionable insights for both technical and business leaders
- Experience engaging with external auditors and regulators in support of cybersecurity reviews
- Familiarity with local laws, legislation, and corresponding regulations, norms, and standards
WHAT WE OFFER
This pay range which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting is 160,000-170,000 USD. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant in addition to a full range of benefits. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
