Investment Valuation Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Investment Valuation Specialist to join our growing investment team. This role focuses on analyzing and valuing private equity and credit assets, supporting both internal reporting and external stakeholder needs. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, works collaboratively, and enjoys tackling complex financial challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly and quarterly valuations of private equity and credit portfolio holdings
- Develop and maintain financial models, including discounted cash flow, market comparables, precedent transactions, and equity allocation analyses
- Review and interpret financial statements, transaction documents, and market data to inform valuations
- Prepare clear, well-structured valuation reports and respond to audit inquiries
- Perform industry, market, and competitor research to support investment insights
- Guide and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in valuation, financial modeling, or investment analysis
- Hands-on experience valuing illiquid equity and debt instruments
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools
- Experience in Big 4 valuation practices, independent advisory firms, investment banking, or asset management
- CFA designation or progress toward it is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
