A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to support a large 500-bed hospital in York, PA. This contract role offers the chance to apply your inpatient pharmacy expertise within a dynamic clinical setting using cutting-edge technology such as EPIC and Pyxis.
Responsibilities include:
- Order verification ensuring accuracy and patient safety
- Supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient operations
- Consulting with physicians regarding medication therapies and regimen adjustments
- Applying pharmacokinetics principles to optimize drug dosing and patient outcomes
The ideal candidate will hold a valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license and bring approximately two years of inpatient hospital experience. Flexibility with a variable days and afternoon schedule is essential to meet the hospital’s needs. This is a 13+ week assignment with an ASAP start date, allowing you to make an immediate impact in patient care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license
- Minimum two years’ inpatient experience in a hospital or clinical environment
- Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis medication management systems
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to supervise and lead pharmacy technicians effectively
