Job Summary
The Manufacturing Production Operator is responsible for preparing materials, operating production equipment, and producing quality components while following established safety, quality, and production procedures. This role supports manufacturing operations by preparing metal inserts, trimming finished products, operating machinery, and maintaining materials according to production requirements.
Job Description
- Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
- Promote an injury-free work environment through safe work practices and awareness.
- Prepare metal inserts by sandblasting, taping, and applying adhesive.
- Trim and finish rubber components according to quality standards.
- Operate extruders and other production equipment used in raw material preparation.
- Monitor equipment operation and ensure materials are available according to production orders.
- Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Read and follow written work instructions, production orders, and drawings.
- Inspect completed parts to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Follow company quality standards and procedures.
- Assist with training new employees by sharing knowledge of parts, processes, and equipment.
- Perform additional production duties as needed within the requirements of the role.
- Shift: 2nd shift, 2pm - 10pm, M-F

- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and basic drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Safety-first mindset with ability to follow strict safety procedures.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Materials exceeding 50 pounds require mechanical assistance or team lifting.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks.
- Ability to work with hands and tools for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, or shop-floor experience.
- Experience operating machinery or production equipment.
- Experience working with rubber products, molding processes, or similar materials.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as knives, grinders, or related equipment.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
Pay Rate
- $17 per hour (Compensation will be offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
