VP/Controller

PE backed SaaS company. The VP Finance/Controller reports to and works closely with the CEO, and the PE firm. This person will manage and scale the international accounting organization. The key functions include accounting operations, revenue accounting, order to cash, international currency, consolidations, sales commissions, audit, tax, and financial systems.

• Create and scale finance and accounting function that exhibits the highest levels of leadership, communication, accountability, timeliness and value-added behavior.
• Drive scalable, reliable monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process and consolidating and consolidated management reporting of results, operating metrics, and flux analyses.
• Leverage technology to build scalable/sustainable processes to create efficiencies, streamline accounting operations and improve employee experience.
• Develop, enhance, implement and enforce global accounting policies, procedures and practices that will improve the overall operation and reduce risks to the business. Be the center of excellence for operational efficiency and technical accounting knowledge within the organization.
• Establish a high-performance culture among direct reports by building a culture of trust and high accountability.
• Ensure timely and successful completion of all global annual GAAP and statutory audits (all domestic and international subsidiaries).
• Provide financial guidance on revenue recognition implications on customer contracts, technical accounting and financial reporting issues.
• Manage treasury activities including inter company transfers, transfer pricing and FX considerations.
• 3-5+ years of Corporate Controller experience within a growing and acquisitive SaaS and multinational accounting environment.
• Extensive experience in a fast growth corporate environment, including skills that drive scalable processes that can drive increasing profitability
• Command of complex consolidations and FX practices
• Working knowledge of tax compliance regulations and reporting
• Experience with setting up and operating accounting processes for foreign subsidiaries
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SaaS company reporting, and compliance considerations
• CPA and Bachelors in Accounting
• Familiarity with NetSuite
