Assembly Supervisor
Assembly Supervisor 2nd Shift
This position reports to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; monitoring personnel and resources; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
- Execute the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting results
- Maintain quality service by enforcing organization standards
- Communicate expectations; monitor and appraise job results
- Coach, counsel, and discipline employees
- Initiate, coordinate and enforce assembly procedures
- Provide manufacturing information by answering questions and responding to requests
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources
- Maintain compliance with established policies and procedures
- Resolve problems by investigating issues, identifying, and implementing solutions
- Support all key initiatives as defined by the Safety Committee
- Maintains quality standard by orienting, and training employees
- Support professional growth opportunities for direct reports
- Assist with other projects as assigned by the Production Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, a technical certification, a plus
- Technical background in manufacturing or assembly facility
- Proficient computer skills with ERP and Microsoft Office
- Possess a strong sense of urgency and be date driven
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Hands-on approach to accomplishing work
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing
