Dental assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our wonderful pediatric dental practice. At Growing Smiles Main Line Pediatric Dentistry, our solo doctor office offers a warm, compassionate experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within our office while providing exceptional patient care. As a dental assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

After 1 year of employment, the right candidate will be eligible for 401k and medical benefits.

Pay: $21.00- $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Type: 2-4 days per week, 8:00 to 5:00 PM.

Core Competencies:

• Recommended 1 year dental assisting experience, but new grads are encouraged to apply
• X-ray certification required
• CPR Certification
• Prior knowledge of Dentrix software a plus, but not required as we will provide training

Essential Functions:

• Excellent communication skills (YOU are the 1st impression of our team!)
• Impeccable organization for inventory control
• A willingness to be flexible and accommodating for patients
• Consistent in cleanliness, timeliness and service

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

• Assist the hygienist and take x-rays for young children and teens
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and treatment plans.
• Perform tasks related to pediatric dentistry, including taking dental radiographs
