Designer I- Architecture

Responsibilities And Qualifications

Assignments may include working with a team through programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, construction documentation and construction administration activities. You will be providing general support for project teams with a focus on the development of presentation materials and building documentation. You will have the opportunity to further develop your computer graphics skills and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Development knowledge of Ballinger’s project types (healthcare, academic/lab/research, corporate/workspace) through on-the-job experience, repetition, and scalability of tasks and responsibilities
• Interface and coordinate with other disciplines
• Draft / Model documents
• Pick up redlines in document set
• Produce 3D Renderings
  

Technical/Professional Skills

• Ability to take direction within a larger team
• Develops design or technical solutions under supervision of the Project Architect, Project Designer, and/or team
• Strong interpersonal skills combined with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-starter, able to independently generate design ideas.
• Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, or other modeling software applications.
  

Experience

• 0-5 year of experience
  

Education

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Architecture or equivalent; BS or BA degree in Interiors or knowledge gained over years of work experience
• Working toward Professional Registration.

Location

This role is based in our Philadelphia, PA headquarters with three (3) days per week in office and a flexible, hybrid work schedule
