Project Civil Engineer

Our client is looking to add a Project Civil Engineer to their team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role specializes in managing and developing project deliverables for oil and gas and renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will have experience leading engineering projects, managing and mentoring junior staff, engaging in business development activities, and preparation of scoping and budgeting of projects.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
- Lead engineering design and development of permit and construction documents and drawings.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to balance workloads and ensure project schedules and budgets are met.
- Conduct technical reviews of project deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and meeting their project needs.
- Take responsibility for team safety, develop safety plans (when applicable), and anticipate potential safety hazards.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in civil engineering.
- Professional Engineer License in Pennsylvania, or ability to obtain via reciprocity within six months.
- Flexibility to travel, including short-term overnight stays for various project related tasks.
Preferred Qualification:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in civil engineering.
- Prior work experience in Pennsylvania or Ohio (PA preferred).
- PE Licensing in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
- Experience supporting proposal development, business development, and client management.
