    Job DescriptionJob Description

    Position Summary:

    Provides advice and counsels the students. This advice may relate to the student’s personal, academic or professional life. Works with the Director of Education regarding retention and reentry initiatives. This position will also serve as the hybrid coordinator to support students in online classes.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    • Acts as an advocate and an interdepartmental and interagency liaison
    • Assists with retention and reentry efforts in coordination with the Director of Education
    • Acts as the Hybrid Coordinator for the students in hybrid programs taking online courses.
    • Studies the program needs and then develops and implements the program in compliance with the government and educational policies
    • Provides a wholesome system of service delivery that is flexible and responsive to needs of the students
    • Informs students about their rights and responsibilities
    • Creates awareness about program services among the community
    • Provides group and individual orientations and gives information to new and old students
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Regular and reliable attendance

    Skills/Competencies/Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Career Management, Psychology, or Social Services
    • Previous experience working with students in a post-secondary environment is preferred
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Previous experience working with an LMS such as Canvas or Blackboard
