Salary:
The position of Wealth Planner for The Coury Firms Private Wealth division (the Firm) will be responsible for directly supporting the Firms Wealth Advisors on all aspects of a client relationship. Duties include helping coordinate and drive the delivery of wealth management and multi-family office services to our clients and serving as the Wealth Advisors primary internal resource for workflow management and execution. This will involve maintaining regular communication with the Firms Wealth Advisors, clients, and any outside advisors.
This position will require working collaboratively with a group of Private Wealth personnel, including but not limited to Wealth Advisors, Wealth Strategists, Wealth Servicing Specialists, and Senior Management to assist in the delivery of investment management, tax planning, comprehensive financial planning, risk management solutions, estate and succession planning, and other pertinent financial services.
Please note, that the Firm and its affiliates do not provide tax or legal advice. Therefore, the Wealth Planner will be responsible for managing and collaborating with the clients outside advisors to assist in delivering a comprehensive, holistic wealth plan for the client.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities and description of duties described below are not intended to be all inclusive:
Client Service
- Extensive ongoing communication with the Firms Wealth Advisors, and their clients.
- Ability to discuss investment performance, economic and market trends.
- Prepare materials for client meetings by generating client portfolio reports, asset schedules, distribution charts, preparing and assembling account paperwork and any other supporting documentation.
- Coordinate and drive workflow internally to help ensure all client deliverables are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Wealth Planning
- Ability to understand a clients entire financial and family situation and structure an investment and financial plan that meets their objectives.
- Understand and coordinate income tax planning items and work closely with client tax advisors.
- Understand, evaluate, and execute on delivering risk management solutions for the client.
- Capable of establishing a level of trust and confidence with the client so that any financial issue can be addressed, and the appropriate solutions can be offered to the client.
- Continuous review of each client's situation and objectives to ensure financial plan remains on track to achieve goals.
Investment Management
- Gather and understand, on at least an annual basis, the information pertaining to Know Your Client (KYC) that will include but is not limited to the clients investment objectives, risk tolerance, asset allocation, and cash requirements (for individuals, investment partnerships, trusts, and family foundations).
- Help develop an investment policy statement (IPS) with each client based on their goals, objectives and risk tolerance. Annually review the IPS with the client and update accordingly with the clients acknowledgment.
- Implement and execute investment plans.
- Monitor asset allocation on at least a quarterly basis relative to policy and goals; evaluate rebalancing needs.
- Review portfolio issues (i.e., taxes, liquidity events, capital calls, etc.) at least quarterly.
- Present alternative investment ideas to clients.
- Help manage investment transition and on-boarding for new clients.
- Collaborate with the asset management team regarding investment strategy and client portfolio structure on topics including, but not limited to, bringing investing ideas to the collective team and helping to engage in due diligence on those ideas.
New Business Development and Marketing
- Work closely with the Firms Wealth Advisors and other team members to support new business development for the firm.
- Build and maintain Private Wealth client relationships on behalf of the Firm and enrich existing relationships.
- Develop leads and referrals from current clients and outside contacts (i.e. centers of influence).
- Seek to increase the Firms Private Wealth AUM through additions of new clientele.
- Participate in sales meetings with prospective clients.
- Represent the Firms investment philosophy/views to colleagues, clients and prospects in person, or by written commentaries/white papers.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Wealth Planner of the Firm must possess the following qualifications:
- Five (5) or more years related experience, with a demonstrated depth and breadth of technical knowledge and expertise
- CFP preferred; Series 65 or 66 required
- Experience working with private, high net-worth clients and/or institutional clients
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
- Highly developed problem-solving ability and a willingness to drive workflow
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work well within a team structure
- Entrepreneurial instincts and proactive attitude
- Ethically driven with an unwavering client commitment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote
- Proficiency in Portfolio Management Software and CRM systems
