Job Description
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of equipment, smallwares and technology contracting initiatives that result in successful contracts that support the needs of our customers. The Manager will develop a plan to conduct the initiative that leverages best practices and sound processes. Also, the role requires judgment to adjust the process to enable creating a successful contract in an efficient manner. Additionally, the Manager will oversee a portfolio of contracts in which s/he will ensure the supplier meets their contract commitments and that customers’ needs are being met.

Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
Implements all aspects for initiatives, i.e., identify the opportunities, solicit input at the appropriate times, lead supplier negotiations, drive productivity and savings
Build and maintain supplier relationships; hold suppliers accountable to deliver contractual commitments
Author Initiative Strategy Worksheets (ISWs) by thoughtfully planning initiatives; manages annual plan by creating realistic timelines and meeting milestones, communicates initiative status; leads effective supplier negotiation and pricing strategy development efforts which integrates Avendra’s principles and value proposition
Lead Business Ownership activity for his/her portfolio of contracts
Secondary Responsibilities
Assist Category Strategy Leaders with development of category strategies in his/her area of responsibility
Collaborate with other internal departments to ensure contracts are delivering maximum potential

Work Environment. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, computers, phones, photocopiers and scanners. This role spends a portion of the time visiting customer and/or supplier facilities which could include loading dock and/or warehouse environments.
Physical Demands. This is largely a sedentary role with some light lifting of files possibly needed.
Qualifications
Role Requirements
Strong technical sourcing knowledge; experience negotiating contracts and understanding of the negotiation process (understanding facts, presenting alternatives and thinking creatively)
Knowledge of the food, hospitality and facilities equipment and supplies categories or ability to develop knowledge of new categories. Strategic sourcing experience in smallwares or kitchen equipment categories is a plus
Detail-oriented, open thinker/idea generator
Ability to manage more than one initiative at once
Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong analytical thinking that leads to objective, fact-based decision making
Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Strong project management capabilities
Ability to develop category and product knowledge in areas in which no or limited experience
Ability to develop a contract that meets clients’ business needs
Ability to build strong relationships at all levels within Aramark, GPOs, Clients and Suppliers
Knowledge of process workflow tools is a plus
Expert skills of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Overnight Travel Requirements.
Type: All modes of transportation , percentage up to 10% length: 1-2 nights
Years of Relevant Experience. 5-15 years of experience in business management (operational or management consulting) with an understanding of procurement, contracting, supply chain optimization and/or category management
Education Requirements. BS/BA in relevant field or equivalent years' experience with education in supply chain, business, economics, or related field highly desired

Compensation
COMPENSATION: The hourly rate or salary range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.
