Tax Manager - HNWI

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns, and providing strategic tax planning advice. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of clients, including HNWIs, S-Corps, C-Corps, partnerships, and trusts/estates
• Review and supervise the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns
• Conduct complex tax research and provide technical guidance to team members and clients
• Develop and implement strategic tax planning opportunities for clients
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify additional service opportunities
• Support and mentor junior staff and provide performance feedback
• Stay current on tax laws and developments and communicate changes to clients and internal team

Qualifications:

• CPA required; MST or JD/LLM in Taxation preferred
• 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a tax advisory firm
• Strong understanding of tax issues related to HNWIs, closely-held businesses, and trust/estate planning
• Experience with tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or similar)
• Excellent project management, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
