Service Technician

Bemana is seeking a Service Technician in the Kutztown, PA   area to travel to industrial production sites installing, troubleshooting, and commissioning bespoke battery manufacturing equipment. This role is perfect for a disciplined, self-motivated technician who enjoys a mix of mechanical assembly and electrical troubleshooting. Job Duties:

• Lead the setup and final commissioning of battery making machines at customer factories.

• Perform on-site electronic and mechanical repair of complex production machinery, including pneumatics (SMC), hydraulics, and electrical systems (<480v).

• Educate customer operators and maintenance personnel on equipment use, safety logic, and basic troubleshooting.

• Use PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens) to diagnose machine faults and ensure smooth production cycles.

• Write concise, informative reports and daily updates regarding project progress and equipment performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in industrial maintenance or field service within a high-volume production environment.

• Strong "multi-craft" skills split between mechanical assembly and electrical troubleshooting.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, assembly drawings, and fluid power schematics (pneumatic/hydraulic).

• Proficient in using micrometers, Vernier calipers, and other precision tools with a strong attention to detail (metric system knowledge is a plus).

• Ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery (programming/coding is not required)

• Excellent customer service skills and a self starter. Must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a tight-knit team.

• Must possess a valid, up-to-date passport and be willing to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
