Senior Associate, Event Marketing

As a recognized leader in providing Private Markets Solutions to clients across the globe, we manage approximately $140.9 billion in discretionary assets and have oversight of an additional $845.3 in non-discretionary assets as of June 30, 2025.
The Opportunity:
As a Senior Associate on our Event Marketing team, you will play a key role in leading the planning and execution of Hamilton Lane events, including client conferences, sponsorship activations, and global webinars.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Plan all aspects of program management including venue selections, site inspections, contract negotiations, hotel management, food & beverage, audio/visual needs, invitation materials, meeting agenda, promotional items and attendee reimbursements
- Incorporate existing event framework, utilizing project plans, timelines, communications plans and production resources to manage all aspects of the event planning process
- Lead working team, emphasizing timelines through proactive, consistent communication and periodic check-ins
- Responsible for onsite production, developing production schedules, run of show and staffing schedule across all assigned events. Lead teams onsite including all venue and vendor teams, production management companies and Hamilton Lane teams
- Understand and incorporate brand standards, tone and aesthetic into all facets of events, partnering closely with Creative Services to ensure alignment.
- Manage event budget, processes invoices in a timely, compliant manner. Maintain accurate and thorough records, ensuring event remains within budget.
- Prepare reports, as required, for assignments including post-event summaries and ROI. Deliver presentations and communicate articulately and persuasively to all audiences.
Your background will include:
Must-haves:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
- A minimum of 5-7 years event management experience inclusive of client-facing programs
- Relevant industry knowledge (venue sourcing, event design, technology, formats, etc.).
- Contract comprehension and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptionally organized with the innate ability to manage multiple meetings and competing priorities simultaneously
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Cvent, and Zoom Webinars.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience in financial services industry
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) a plus. Global event experience a plus.
Travel Requirements:
Up to 25% domestic/international
