CNC Lathe/Mill Operator & Setup Specialist
About the Role
We’re hiring an experienced CNC professional in Pittsburgh, PA (15642) to set up, run, and fine-tune CNC machines while upholding top-tier quality in a friendly, team-first environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare machines: select tooling, set offsets, and verify programs to meet part specifications.
- Translate blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD references into machining steps.
- Conduct routine equipment care and troubleshoot common machine issues.
- Monitor production runs; adjust parameters to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Verify finished parts meet all dimensional and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with peers to streamline setups and improve throughput.
- Uphold housekeeping and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal machining training or certification preferred.
- Proven CNC experience (lathe and/or mill) in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read complex drawings and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of CNC operation and programming principles.
- Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools; familiar with QC practices.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-focused.
- Self-directed with strong teamwork skills.
- Clear communicator with a positive attitude.
