Job Details – ER Registered Nurse (Locum Tenens)

• Position Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Location: Brookville, PA 15825 – Pennsylvania healthcare jobs
• Facility Setting: Emergency Department (ER)
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
• End Date: January 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:00am–6:00pm & 6:00pm–6:00am), every other weekend, 1 winter holiday
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570–$1610
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 8-bed ER, average daily census of 21

Qualifications – Emergency Room RN

• Current and active Pennsylvania or compact state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room (ER) nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record (EHR) preferred
• Preferred: Charge nurse, community hospital, LTAC, and trauma level I/II experience
• Must complete PA fingerprinting and Childline registration upon contract signing
• Lab work required within 72 hours of contract signing
• No local candidates (must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Brookville, PA)
• First-time travel nurses welcome!

Key Responsibilities – ER Registered Nurse

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform triage, assessment, and management of acute and emergent conditions, including trauma, respiratory illness, psychiatric emergencies, and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, and IV therapies
• Manage central lines, chest tubes, ventilated patients, and advanced airway procedures
• Interpret arterial blood gases, cardiac dysrhythmias, and EKGs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and support staff)
• Utilize specialized equipment: Glidescope, Vapotherm, ultrasound, CPAP/BiPAP, bladder scanner
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday coverage
