Production Supervisor
AWS/CES is looking for a Production Supervisor for our automotive manufacturing client
- Location: Pottstown, PA
- Pay rate: up to $29.65/hr.
- Shift : 3pm-11pm
- Job Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved. This role provides hands-on leadership, supports continuous improvement, and drives team performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise production team members to meet daily production, quality, and safety targets
- Manage production flow and ensure efficiency across the department
- Promote teamwork and communication across shifts and departments
- Monitor and enforce shop floor safety standards and provide ongoing safety training
- Ensure work instructions, setup sheets, and quality documentation are accurate and followed
- Track and reduce scrap and waste, implementing corrective actions to meet annual goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and process capability
- Lead production meetings and communicate expectations clearly to team members
- Coach, mentor, and discipline employees as needed, including performance evaluations
- Maintain and update employee training matrices and ensure proper skill development
- Manage attendance, timekeeping, overtime scheduling, and vacation planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve issues
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; college degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
- Supervisory experience preferred; union environment experience is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems
- Basic mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail
Work Environment & Schedule
- 2nd shift position with flexibility to support 1st or 3rd shift as needed
- Must be available for overtime and weekend work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting
