This role is built for someone who wants to grow inside a startup , take responsibility early, and earn expanded scope over time.
Role Summary
We’re hiring an IT Operations Coordinator to be the single day‑to‑day owner of IT operations inside our Microsoft ecosystem. This is not a senior “Head of IT” role — it’s a hands‑on systems administration + support ownership role for someone who wants to grow into leadership.
You will own:
- Help desk + support intake
- Microsoft 365 administration (access, accounts, MFA, groups)
- Onboarding/offboarding
- Device provisioning + MDM enforcement
- License and tool hygiene
- Documentation/runbooks
- Automation operations + light build support (Power Automate + Zapier/n8n/Make workflows where appropriate)
What You’ll Own (Core Responsibilities)1) Help Desk & Support (Primary)
- Be the first point of contact for IT issues across the company
- Triage, resolve, or escalate issues with clear follow‑through
- Own the ticket queue and ensure issues are closed
- Reduce recurring issues by documenting fixes and creating checklists/runbooks
2) Microsoft 365 / Entra ID Administration
- Provision and deprovision user accounts
- Manage groups, roles, and access controls (execute access decisions consistently)
- Enforce MFA and baseline security hygiene
- Maintain clean permissions — no shared access, no ambiguity
3) Onboarding / Offboarding
- Execute onboarding/offboarding checklists (accounts, access, devices)
- Ensure clean access removal on exits
- Maintain accurate “who has what” records
4) Hardware Provisioning + Device Management
- Coordinate provisioning of company devices (laptop/phone as applicable)
- Ensure devices are enrolled in MDM and meet baseline security requirements
- Track device assignments and utilization (basic asset register)
- Coordinate device return, wipe, and lifecycle closure
5) License & Tool Hygiene
- Track license assignments and usage
- Identify unused seats and flag waste
- Track renewals and notify ops/finance before lapses
6) Documentation & Runbooks
- Maintain a living system inventory
- Keep onboarding/offboarding instructions current
- Write simple runbooks for recurring issues
- Update docs after changes (required)
7) Automation Ops + Light Workflow Building
- Operate and maintain Microsoft-native workflows (Power Automate / simple Copilot Studio agents)
- Support automation for onboarding, access requests, help desk routing, and admin processes
- Maintain and improve lightweight automations using tools like Zapier, n8n, Make , etc. (where used)
- Escalate complex automation architecture work to the designated builder when needed
Big Pluses (We Really Like These)
If you have any of the following, it’s a major advantage :
- Vibe Coding mindset (rapid iteration, shipping workflows, learning fast, making systems usable)
- Zapier experience (multi-step workflows, triggers/actions, error handling)
- n8n experience (self-hosted or cloud, webhooks, API calls, data transforms)
- Experience with similar tools: Make , Power Automate , IFTTT , Pipedream , etc.
- Comfort connecting tools via APIs and keeping workflows stable over time
What This Role Is NOT
To prevent mismatch, this role does not own:
- IT strategy/roadmap ownership
- Security architecture design
- Advanced cloud/network engineering
- Vendor negotiations or budget ownership
- Complex AI agent architecture (we have a separate builder role for that)

Qualifications
Required
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, IT ops, sysadmin support, or similar
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (or ability to learn quickly)
- Strong troubleshooting and customer support mindset
- Strong organization + documentation discipline
Nice to Have (Strong Preference)
- Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune/MDM experience
- Ticketing systems (Jira, Freshdesk, Zendesk, etc.)
- Zapier / n8n / Make workflow building and maintenance
- Power Automate basics
- Remote-first team experience
Compensation
- $48,000 – $54,000 per year (W‑2)
