We are seeking energetic and adaptable Building Substitutes to step into classrooms across various grade levels and subjects. In this role, you will serve as a vital link in maintaining a positive learning environment, ensuring continuity of instruction, and supporting student success. Duties

• Step into classrooms promptly and confidently to deliver instruction in the absence of regular teachers
• Follow established lesson plans or develop your own engaging activities aligned with curriculum standards
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a safe and respectful learning environment
• Support students’ social-emotional development through positive interaction and guidance
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth daily operations and student engagement
• Assist with classroom routines, including attendance, transitions, and basic childcare needs
• Maintain clear communication with school administrators regarding student progress or incidents

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings preferred
• Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents
• Familiarity with early childhood education, special education, literacy, math
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and student needs
• Background in working with individuals with autism or special education is advantageous
• Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies
