ER RN Travel Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED) – Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chest Pain Accredited Center of Excellence
• Location: York, PA 17403 (York County, Pennsylvania)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1830 - $1880
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00pm – 7:00am)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• End Date: January 12, 2026
• Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend
• Holiday Coverage: Required to work 2 of 3 major holidays; no time off approved between Christmas and New Year's
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Floating: May rotate to Emergency Transitional Care Unit (ETCU) as needed

ER Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center
• Previous travel nurse experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania (no license hits accepted)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (AHA or ARC only)
• EPIC EMR charting experience preferred
• Ability to provide clinical care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off during contract
• Tobacco and fragrance-free healthcare facility

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a 74-bed Emergency Department, including a 3-bed trauma bay and secure behavioral health unit
• Perform triage, assessment, and treatment for acute and critical conditions (trauma, stroke, cardiac, behavioral health, infectious diseases)
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, and manage advanced airway and IV therapies
• Utilize advanced clinical skills: arterial/central line management, chest tube insertion, intubation, procedural sedation, ventilator management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response
• Float to ETCU as needed to provide inpatient-level care for ED holds
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR system
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, isolation precautions, and safety protocols
