The Role
As a Salesforce Principal Consultant, you will translate our clients’ business vision into practical solutions on the Salesforce platform. Acting as the senior lead architect, you'll spearhead critical Salesforce projects for our enterprise clients, utilizing your extensive expertise in Salesforce solutioning, stakeholder management, team leadership, and business analysis. You will play a pivotal role in understanding client needs, designing tailored solutions on Salesforce, and overseeing implementation and support phases in collaboration with our Professional Services team.responsibilities
OverallAs a Principal Consultant, you’re a Salesforce subject matter expert who ensures the success of our most important clients.
- Lead the team and serve as the primary point of contact for clients and team members
- Ensure client success from a solutions perspective, establishing TruSummit as a trusted advisor
- Coordinate closely with Project Management to ensure project delivery
- Collaborate with Technical consultants to integrate their inputs into cohesive solutions
- Advocate for and implement TruSummit and Salesforce best practices
- Mentor and coach less experienced team members in consultancy and Salesforce expertise
- Act as a hands-on advisor, collaborating with client stakeholders using strong communication skills, Salesforce platform knowledge, and business consulting experience to deliver client ROI
- Develop and nurture business relationships with clients, positioning TruSummit as a trusted Salesforce advisor
- Understand client business drivers, KPIs, and articulate project value and risks related to solution feasibility
- Share business consulting best practices to enhance team knowledge
- Demonstrate thought leadership through client presentations and/or publications
- Serve as a Salesforce subject matter expert, staying updated on emerging CRM technologies and trends
- Create and articulate a clear vision of Salesforce architecture and/or conceptual models of project solutions
- Translate client business drives, KPIs, and success metrics into tangible solution outcomes
- Provide expert-level functional guidance to consultants and developers
- Collaborate with US-based and near/offshore teams to deliver projects effectively
- Champion process-based delivery methodology within TruSummit
- Coach project teams on Salesforce and Business Consulting best practices
- Proactively identify and surface new opportunities for clients
- Guide and mentor the project team to achieve project objectives
- Effectively leverage tools to facilitate project success, including documenting and risk and issue management
- Create and/or ensure solution-related documentation, e.g., customer journey mapping, business requirements, user stories, process flows, ERDs, configuration workbooks, and test scripts.
- Support internal efforts to evolve TruSummit processes
- Participate in pre-sales activities and proposal development (as asked, in conjunction with Sales and Pre-Sales Solution Architects)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business management, IT, or related field
- 7+ years of Salesforce experience in professional services
- 7+ years of consulting or industry experience
- 6+ years as a Salesforce Solution Architect
- Multiple, current Salesforce certifications, e.g., Admin/Advanced Admin, Sales and Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Platform App Builder, or ability to achieve relevant certifications in a timely manner
- Demonstrated success in large-scale Salesforce projects
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- This position is a Remote/Telecommute position.
- Expertise in business consulting and CRM optimization
- Expert-level understanding of the Salesforce platform and components, functional expertise with awareness of programmatic solutions
- Exceptional customer-facing skills, professional presence, and entrepreneurial attitude. Must be able to write executive-level emails, solution briefs, and related communications
- Strong communication ability with a focus on translating complex, sophisticated concepts across all client levels
- Self-motivated and directed, highly organized, strong attention to detail
- Highly proficient in collaborating with project stakeholders, end-users, business partners, and technical team members to deliver high-quality projects
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team with professionals at various levels
- Knowledge of Salesforce DevOps processes and tools, e.g., Gearset, Azure DevOps, JIRA
- Working knowledge and experience with agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Hybrid-Agile)
- Experience in Salesforce Industry solutions (e.g., Manufacturing Cloud, Health Cloud)
- Experience in CPQ, Revenue Cloud, Marketing Cloud (any/all suite of products)
- CRMA
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Health, or Life Sciences
